Lcpl. Clarance Willis  and  Lcpl. Joe Labranch

'Clarance was one Marine who could move quick when called upon.  When Guns Up was called Clarance would pack 2 cans of Ammo and move out fast enough to pass you.  His strength and endurance in helping get the fighting holes dug saved many Marine Lives.  Clarance Willis was an Outstanding Marine and a valuable member of the Gun Team, his service is greatly appreciated by his Brother Warriors.'

'Joe was also a member of my Gun Team and he and I  became great friends.  Joes Service in Vietnam was one of tremendous bravery and his contribution as a gunner was tremendous.  Laying cover fire in intense combat Joe Labranch protected the lives of his brother Bravo Marines in an unselfish, and heroic stand. 
Joe never said 'follow me', he just went.

'I Salute these two very fine Marines and I am extremely proud to have served with them.'
