On 5 November of 1969 while on patrol in the 'Arizona Valley' with his brother Bravo Marines of 1st. Platoon Mike was Killed In Action. At the age of 20.
'Mike was the Machine Gunner in 1st. Plt. His service in Vietnam was fearless and highly commendable as a gunner and a team member. His brother Marines took his death hard and we miss him a great deal.'
