GRAPHICS:92% The graphics of RE2 are stunning-the best I've seen on any N64 title, and I've seen alot based on the 21 games posted on my reviews page.I have also rented others(about 20).The pre-set camera angles can be frustrating, though, and I happen to believe this made achieving ultra-realistic graphics alot easier for Capcom. The 3-D movies are amazing, and the graphics in-game are suprisingly just as good. |
| PLAY CONTROL:68%: The Play Control takes ALOT of getting used to,in part because of the pre-set camera angles. The game would be alot easier if the play control wasn't so crummy. The default Type A&B First-Person control setups should NEVER be used, the alternate Type C&D 3rd-Person controls are much better. The play control is so difficult,it often takes gamers a couple of tries just to get off the first screen!I don't like how you can't run and shoot at the same time either, but it would do little to benefit you in this game.I use the analog control stick because it's what I like most, but others use the digital control pad. It's just a matter of preference. There also weren't enough evasive maneuvers, either, which are desperately needed. After a while though, you become accustomed to it,somewhat. |

| GAME DESIGN:82%: It's a realistic and difficult horror-based survival-shooter game with dazzling graphics. The pre-set camera angles often cause upset, though. And the play control could and should have been better, though. |
| SOUND:91%: It has very realistic sound and a spine-tingling soundtrack. |
SATISFACTION:86%: For horror fans and gamers who want to see one of the best looking graphics-wise game to date,RE2 is the game for you. |
COMMENTS:Not a bad game at all.A little difficult-okay,pretty darn difficult, but it has great graphics, sound, weapons, story&plot, options, etc.I recommend it to experienced gamers with solid stomachs. Also,I understand it can be difficult converting pad contol to control stick control, but I think the developers bombed in this area. But the graphics and areas were nicely converted. |

| AI Rating:Not to shabby.Zombies occasionally get stuck behind corners. The main difficulty is the play control. |
| Comparison of good aspects of Resident Evil 2 to other N64 games: |
| Graphics:Some of the best and possibly the best on N64.Set camera angles, though they create a realistic and dramatic sense, they aren't as good as adjustable ones. |
| Realisticness:One of the most realistic games on the N64.But unlike in other games, such as GoldenEye007,you can't be hurt by your own weapons,(e.g. Grenade Launcher)which is unrealistic yet beneficial, for the game is difficult enough already. |

| Memory Capacity:Not only the biggest on N64,but the biggest Game Pak in history,at 512 Megabits! |
