i breathe from within you
you're part of my sinew
two pieces of one
bound together through time
remember the energies
closeness ignited
and nothing was hotter
than your hand in mine
as elements we are
forever one entity
we knew each other
before there were words
and if i'd but known
life would render us separate
i vow to you this:
i would never have stirred
on a bench of cold concrete
watching leaves chasing shadows
i ponder these dreams
in my odd, muddled way
and if one day i find it ~
that room i will cross
that will bring me beside you...
