Articles/Text submissions
Word count
The word count for feature articles is between 1,700 and 3,500 words. Sections can run to a maximum of 1700 words, with the exception of Teacher Talk (800 words).

References
We use the Harvard system of referencing. For further guidance, please see:
www.lmu.ac.uk/lss/ls/docs/Harvard.Harvard.htm

File types
Please send text submissions in Rich Text Format (RTF). This allows specialised formatting to be retained while ensuring that it can be read by any word processor.

Punctuation
Please use only one space after punctuation. Double spaces create unusual text spacing in magazine typesetting.

Tabs
Avoid using tabs unless you are doing a chart. Paragraph indentations automatically set by DTP software and tabs set at the beginning of a paragraph upset the text flow. Please do not use tabs as a substitute for a hard return.

Paragraphs
Please do not tab to a new line or paragraph instead of using a hard return. Put an extra line between paragraphs as this helps with layout.

Subheads
Please type all subheads in upper-lower case (i.e. as in this document). Don't start articles with a subhead.

Text submissions
Please submit all texts to the editors at
