is it when you can make another smile?
or is it when sumone thinks that your pretty,
or maybe when they tell you that you're witty
or is it when sumone says that you've really helped them out,
that you've showed them what being a friend is all about,
there are two different ways to look at life,
one is wrong, and one is right,
if simple flattery will get you high
them maybe you need to get ur head out of the sky
cuz obviously its so full of hot air
that it took your ego way up there
if you life from day to day
simply on what others will say
then you will end up dependent on the world for your happiness
and you will always always receive less,
then what you think you deserve
or what you think you should have heard,
and you will never be satisfied,
you can never live a life on earth with your head in the sky
but if your worth rests in God alone
then it is only to Him that you will condone
and you will have eternal peace and joy
becuz your life will no longer be a ploy
you will live your life to help otheres around you
and not just wait to see what they can do for you its true
that God puts every on of us here for a reason
and for everything that happens there is a season
He didn't put us here to simply get an ego boost,
He put us here to help others and spread truth.
and the more you live the more sense it makes
that life is about what you give and not what you take.
why can't we as people see this?
its sumthing so simple just to believe it.
but its so hard to live out,
its easy to forget what life is about
its easy to think about you and your problems
and how others should help you in order to solve it,
its easy to think that you can't do anything for anyone else,
becuz just keeping up with your own life is like juggling on stilts
and its is so easy to see when others are selfish
but our lack of giving in our own selves we miss
we can see when sumone is not treating us right
becuz they only have themselves in sight
but we so easily overlook when we do the same
becuz we as humans simply tend to be lame
so here i sit talking about whats wrong with the world
but yet i have no room to speak
becuz everything i have just muraled
is an area in which i am very weak
so as i started out writing this to tell others that get on my nerves
that myave they should get the focus off themselves and watch more carefully their words
i end up instead preaching a sermon to myself
becuz once again my charcter is an elf
pointing fingers at everyone else
when really we are all the same
on the same level and in the same plane
why do we compete with each other to claim
the most originality?
why can't we just be who God created us to be?
quit trying to find all the coolest clothes that no one else had got
and quit trying to find all the coolest songs that i have never bought
we are here to lift each other up
not to make others feel snuffed
not to try to brag about ourselves and what we've dun
and not to try to claim that we've had the most fun
and not to try to gain the most friends
and not to try to get the most attention
becuz its all such mindless games we play
that the devil uses to get our minds astray
to send us off on a white rabbit trail of life
to waste our time
and watch all of our precious God given days go by
so before you speak
try to think
about what your words are trying to mean
do you say things
just so others will think more highly of you?
or do you say things that are meant to improve?
this is sumthing that we all need to do
and sumthing we all should think through
so i hope that these words will do sum good
to help everyone think about what they say like they should
and i will try to heed my own advice
and try to always think twice
