Hi! I have come from a family of four. My interests are working out, going to school, church, and computers. Even though I come from a family of four, I do have a large family. My father had five siblings, and my mom had two. I have twenty-five first cousins. I have even more family than that who don't seem so distant because we're such a close family. We're so close, that we call those who are my parents' cousins "aunts" and "uncles" and don't think twice about it, until we explain to others how we're related. I don't know if it's just because we're from the South or because our family never strayed from the idea that blood is thicker than water that we are so close. I must admit that you can't have a large family without learning about loss. There have been many family members to pass on in my years. I would have to say those with the most impact that have passed were my father, mother, and grandmothers (in that order). I can't even say which of them meant more to me, because they all meant so much! Everyone who knew my father could tell you how great of a carpenter, man, and father he was. Every girl and woman feels she needs her mother around to help guide her through the things in life that a father can't. One grandmother lived across the street from where I grew up, and hers was the home away from home. The other grandmother was quiet, and was a wonderful example of a Godly woman. You shouldn't think I'm all about grief. I am very blessed they were all able to help me with my upbringing. I still have many loved ones that I care about. There are many cousins, aunts, uncles, a grandmother, and a sister that I think the world of. I have a daughter and son that I live for. In no way do I want to discourage anyone from wanting a big family. In fact, I encourage it - it brings innumerous blessings. I am currently going through a divorce, but that does not mean I think any less about family. My family helps me get through this time, which would be much more stressful without them.
