About the Tree

Implanted almost two decades ago, Shajaratun Muntazirah or Awaiting Tree is a family tree of expectants (muntazirin) in the different parts of the Philippines.

Throughout these years, it is nurtured by the muntazirin's firm conviction, dedication, and sacrifices in pursuit of active waiting (intizar). Their conception of intizar revolves around three intertwined principles of protest, hope, and endeavor.

Protest involves rejection of the existing reality full of corruption, injustice, and falsehood.

As a complementary to the act of disdaining the filths of the status quo, hope refers to the fervent yearning for the realization of the dream day when truth, justice, and faith reign supreme.

Nonetheless, protest and hope are accompanied by concrete action. Hence, there must be an individual and collective endeavor of preparing the ground for the advent of the most-cherished future.

May the Awaiting Tree enjoy the shining splendor of the Awaited Sun who is expected to rise at the appointed time. Hence, heralding the dawn of the ultimate triumph of Truth and the truthful.
