Barking At Everything...The Allie Interview

SMS Rallysport finally had the chance to catch up with team mascot, Allie, to ask her some questions about life, kibble, and what the future holds.

(SMS Rallysport) - Good afternoon Allie. Thanks for agreeing to talk with us for a bit.
(Allie) - (woof) No prob.
(SR) - Hmmm...ok. So what's it like to be the mascot.
(AB) - It's cool. They need to give me more food though. I have a tough job!
(SR) - Being a Beagle is tough?
(AB) - Yeah. I have a lot to do each day. Wake up, eat, go outside, sleep, scratch, stretch, yawn, sleep, lick my paws, sleep, eat, play fetch, sleep, etc. It's a full day...everyday.
(SR) - Hmm. You seem to keep quite busy.
(AB) - You know it.
(SR) - So what's it like being the mascot?
(AB) - It's fun, but hard work. I don't necessarily go to all the events, since I don't really like to travel. But around the team headquarters, I keep spirits up and try to keep everyone happy.
(SR) - Dave mentioned you get into some trouble occasionally, care to elaborate?
(AB) - Umm...yeah...I might get into some trouble. Mostly it's because I was trying to eat someone's food. You've got to admit, a cheeseburger looks way better than kibble.
(SR) - I'll take your word on that one.
(AB) - Oh, and I sometimes get in trouble for barking at other dogs or people. In reality, I'm just protecting the team.
(SR) - What are some of your favorite activities?
(AB) - Well, I like walks a lot. Running through the fields and chasing things is a blast. Plus there are tons of great smells! I also like playing fetch. I have lots of fun toys that Dave & Stacy bought me. And my favorite activity is eating. I like all sorts of food, not just dog food.
(SR) - Any final thoughts on the upcoing season?
(AB) - I think it will be a good year. Being realistic, this year will probably be another building year. Dave & Stacy have a good chance of placing well this year, but they're still a young team. I think the 2005 season will be the true turning point, but I could be wrong.
(SR) - Thanks for the thoughts, Allie. Good luck in 2004!
(AB) - Thanks, it was fun. Do I get a treat now?
