The 2003 season proved to be a season of firsts for the SMS Rallysport Team. Overall the team had an excellent season, finishing 4th in Group 5 in the Central Division, and tieing for 1st in Group 5 in the Land O' Lakes region. The team also claimed their first class win at the 2003 Paul Bunyan's Ride ClubRally. The season ended with the team's first "off", when they hit a rock during the Keeweenaw ClubRally forcing them to retire with suspension damage.
