St. Michael Scrip Program

How it Works:

• Someone purchases gift cards from the St. Michael Scrip Program (see order form) to utilize for every day expenditures, gifts, dining out, etc.
• The St. Michael Scrip Program has previously purchased cards (at a discounted rate) for immediate availability.
• You receive a gift card for the amount that you ordered.
• St. Michael School earns money!

 Additional Information:

• The gift certificates/cards provided to you are the same as any gift cards you would receive if you if you went to the retailer and purchased them yourself.
• They are accepted at all participating retailer locations.
• There is no other cost or obligation to buy anything else, use them as you do cash.

How to Order:

• Order forms can be turned in to St. Michael School or sent in with one of the school children.  Orders turned in prior to noon are completed the same day, except for "Other" requests.
• The St. Michael Scrip Program also sells the gift cards at the Loretto Firemen's Breakfast on the first Sunday of every month - St. Michael School cafeteria.

Example:

You receive (purchase) a $25.00 gift card to Hoss's Steak and Sea House.

Hoss�s Steak & Sea House gives St. Michael School a 10% discount on all purchases.

10% of $25 = $2.50 profit

St. Michael School purchases your gift card from Hoss�s for only $22.50,

retaining the $2.50 discount as our profit.

In other words, if you ordered a $25.00 gift card, that is exactly what you will get, while St. Michael School earns $2.50.

Some additional information:

• Great Lakes Scrip Center, Inc. (GLSC), is a company that acts on behalf of churches & schools, such as ours, to purchase large amounts of scrip from various types of retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer substantial discounts. In other words, we purchase at a discount from Great Lakes who has already purchased from the retailers. Our profit comes when the scrip is sold at full face value to our customers. 
• The order form includes the most common retailers that St. Michael customers have been utilizing.
• To see a complete list of scrip available please utilize the Great Lakes Scrip Center Website at www.glscrip.com.
• If you would like to purchase a gift card for a retailer not on the St. Michael Scrip Order form, please utilize the Other box.  Orders for these gift cards will take additional time.
