A Story About A Teg

As I mentioned in the introduction I had only ever intended to lower and rim this car but I didn't stop there. Within months of owning the car I had already lowered it, changed the air intake, plug wires and exhaust, largely due to a deal I got from a friend who had a similar car. I drove the car like this for a while until I saved up enough money to buy some rims. It took me a long time to decide what wheels to buy because not only am I very indecisive, but I wanted them to be unique. I came across a wheel manufacturer called Finn on ebay and ordered a set of their brand new model wheels called the f106 with Toyo fz4 rubber. Unfortunately the internet can be deceiving when it comes to viewing colour, I thought the wheels I ordered were a flat black when in fact they turned out to be gunmetal grey. I installed them on my car reluctantly but realized at the time my Neuspeed springs were way too low and I was rubbing the fenders in the front. I took them off and ended up picking up a set of Eibach Pro Kit that lowered my car less drastically.

Car at the Shop After one summer I became tired of the look of the car and decided with the income tax refund I was getting back I would have a body kit installed along with shaving of the emblems, antenna, and moldings on the car. The work was originally done by a shop called Better Image which ended up being a total headache after some shotty work required me to revisit them several times. I entered one car show at that point in time and didn't really get any recognition so I decided the following spring I would do an entire JDM front end conversion on the car. First paint job finished

I sourced out a front clip from a place called Teknotik in Toronto. The clip alone was 1800 dollars and came with the HID option. Myself and a former acquaintance installed the front end in my grandfathers driveway in about 6 hours time. The final paint job was done at my buddies shop Desired Customs. Finally I was happy with the way the car looked!, but not the wheels so I ordered a set of Fast Inferno's with Falken rubber. Through the course of all these modifications I didn't leave the interior alone. I purchased a set of Sparco Torino reclinable race seats from a friend in guelph. I also custom fabricated a rear trunk enclosure for my Audiobahn system purchased over Ebay. Progression of the installation is in the table on the following page. Basically this brings us to how it looks today. Recent pics along with future plans will be found on the last page of this mini website.

Below you can see an old picture of my car with the round stock headlights and the After picture with the one piece rectangular HID headlights straight from JAPAN.
