Jokes

Stories with a funny punchline,
or tricks played on someone for fun

How to tell a joke:

1.     Know your joke. Be able to tell the joke by memory.

2.     Know your audience. The joke needs to be something the audience will enjoy.

3.     Don't tell everyone how funny the joke is.

4.     There must be a punchline. No one will laugh if there's no punchline.

Sample joke:
Doctor, doctor, my son swallowed a pen. What should I do?
Use a pencil till I get there. (http:www.ahajokes.com/kids_jokes.html)

Make up a joke and tell it to the class.

Trick: People seem to like playing tricks. One of the most famous tricks is to send someone on a snipe hunt. Here's a good description: The Proverbial Snipe Hunt

Tell about a trick you played on someone.
