Where to buy?

The cheapest place to get the capacitors is to desolder them from the memory module.  See the memory module pages for descriptions of the capacitors on each module.  An alternative is to buy them from a electronics supply store.  The recommended capacitors are 0.10 uF ceramic 603 package.  Other values or types may work but I have not tested them myself so I cannot say for sure.  Compatible Digikey part numbers for the capacitors are PCC1788CT-ND or PCC1762CT-ND.

Neither of the modules contains the recommended 100K 603 package resistor.   This can be purchased from your favorite electronics supply house.  The Digikey part numbers are P100KHCT-ND or P100KGCT-ND.

Pricing

From Digikey the capacitors cost from $0.10 to $0.15* a piece in quantities of ten.  The resistors range from $0.08 to $0.09* a piece in quantities of ten.

What's the catch?

Removing the components from the memory module is tricky without the right equipment.  I've heard of people using two soldering irons (one on each "lead" of the component) to remove them.  I have not tried this myself since I have a pair of "hot tweezers".

* depending on the tolerance (which is not critical for this application).  Buy what is in stock.
