“Cyberterrorism,” “information war,” and “cyberwar” all refer to the same type of attack.  Cyberwar is defined as a disruption of the flow of information, mainly through the use of “computer viruses that eat data or freeze up systems, and logic bombs that force machines to do something they can’t (like resolve the value of pi)” (Arquilla 1).  Israel Radio’s Internet correspondent, Eli HaCohen, states, “The tools for carrying out these activities are freely available to all” (qtd. in Hershman 1).  The main component needed to play out such attacks is a computer.
