Kate is very much part of our family and an absolute pleasure and love of our lives. She is such a 'lady' and has given us many hours of excitement and pleasure in the show ring as well as at home.
In July 2000 Kate presented us with a beautiful litter of 12 (!) from SA Ch. Baldrey Smarten Up (Imp. U.K.) from which we kept "Penny" Derrose Royal Occasion of Smithvale. This was Kate's first and only litter as the pups were born by caesarean section and Kate had to be spayed. Although we said "definitely can't keep a puppy" whilst assisting the vet and drying pups arriving faster than one can imagine, one little girl with two small spots "pennies" on her back, amongst the larger patches, arrived into my hands - that was it - this was my "Penny"!
