November 5th, 2004 Today is 24 weeks + 4 days! I had another doctor's appointment today. My blood pressure was 118/75, remaining steadily low after that one visit where it was pretty high. I gained another 5 lbs., which leaves me at about a 18 pound total gain so far. Baby's heartrate was in the 150's, where it has steadily been from the very beginning. She is still relatively merciful with her kicks, which I am grateful for. I feel movements throughout the day, not on a regular routine like I did with Connor. I am feeling a lot of pelvic pressure on some days, though and have a little bit of trouble walking at times during those days, but it it still better than last pregnancy. Maybe this is to make up for the fact that I had so much morning sickness this time. At least that is OVER!! YEY! I found out today that my next apointment is December 3rd, then I start seeing the doctor every TWO WEEKS!!! We're really getting down to the final stretch now! At my next appointment, I will get my Rho-Gam shot and will need to have my glucose screening done the day before.

November 1st, 2004 Today is 24 weeks!! Welcome to MONTH SIX!!! Can you believe how fast time is flying?? From now on, I will be writing from my point of view, not the baby's... Wow! Baby is growing fast now. She weighs over 1 1/2 pounds (and judging by the way we seem to make babies, she is probably bigger than this "average") and is over 12 inches from head to toe. We're continuting to make progress with her room, but it's still a while from being finished. The color looks great on the walls that are painted, but getting the wainscotting up will still be a few weeks away yet. We did order the furniutre, expecting that it would take a while to get in, but it came in less than three days! So, the crib and armoire are in the basement, waiting until the room is complete to make their journey upstairs.
November 15th, 2004 Today is 26 weeks! We had quite a weekend! I woke up at 4 AM on Saturday with a pain in my lower back (kidney) and nausia. After an entire morning of trying to feel better, but not being able to keep water down, I called the doctor, who had me go to the hospital for an IV. Of course, at that point, no one knew what was going on, so she had me go to St. Barnabas "because their NICU is better equiped for a baby under 28 weeks- JUST IN CASE!" Not exactly soothing words. But after the IV and some anti-nausia medication, I felt much better, just loopy from the drugs and dehydration and tired! Long, scary day, but all is well now. Luckily, the baby, who is normally pretty quiet, had an extremely active day, which made me feel much better that at least she was moving around and seemingly doing better than I was! She should weigh just under 2 pounds now and measures about 13 inches long.
