Did I put this picture upside-down? You be the judge!
Walking the City of York
I took these pictures on any number of my random wanderings through this great city. Here are some of the sights that York (the Original) has to offer
River Foss, on my way to Clifford's Tower. I think I was walking with Mike, fellow Citizen of the World but born in the UK. The best part of this photo is that when I pulled it out of the photo envelope, I couldn't figure out which axis was true. It could go upside-down, right-side up, and horizontal. Nifty.
Why are the lines to the loo so long in the gallery? This could explain why.
I took this from the York Free City Gallery. Bootham Bar is on the left (it got cut off a bit, I'm afraid) and the Minster is in the background (as always). A side-note--the fountain in the foreground is affectionately called "The Peeing Fountain," not because of any lack of Water Closets in the area, but because of unavoidable connections with going to the bathroom.
Mmm...flowers...
Newgate Market, from Parliment Street. Unfortunately, the shine from the sun obscures the name on the sign, but it showed up on the actual photo.

This was the only time of day that this flower stand gets direct sunlight. The sun was setting directly down the alley opposite of Newgate, and I had to capitalize on the chance.
