And of course no school would be complete without the teachers! Here are a few snapes from the enkai after the school sports day!
An enkai is a Japanese dinner party... there is more talking here between collegues than at work! Basically after the big boss says kampai (Japanese for cheers!), everyone drinks and drinks and drinks...
Gotta love the enkai!
Kumiyama Junior High or Kumichu is a co-educational school where the students are aged between 12 and 15. I teach all 13 classes a week with the Japanese English teachers and ocassionally play oboe in the brass band (bet you never thought the oboe was a brass instrument!) and learn the Japanese art of bamboo control (otherwise known as whack one another) with the Kendo club.
