Medieval & Renaissance Clothing
- Black Hanging Sleeve Dress (PDSvN)
- I also have a pseudo-14th C fitted gown - not amazingly accurate, but comfortable.
- And a half made houpellande (the lining is done and wearable, I just need to find something I like to make the outside from)
- I've attempted a venetian gown. The bodice doesn't sit right though (top is too high), so I'll have to fiddle with that sometime.
- I also want to make a 15th C Italian outfit (I at least have fabric for this)
- There are plans for another Elizabethan eventually, I have sage green velvet and yellow silk for this, and a portrait for inspiration. However, since I'm planning to make everything (including trim, lace for the smock, mad embroidered bits etc) it'll take a while before I get to it.
- I've also had the suggestion of a Cranach gown, and they really are very pretty. Need to start collecting pictures and work out exactly what I want, then I can try and work out how to do it. I suspect large quantities of red wool or velvet will be involved.
"Inspired By" Clothing
This is a list of the stuff that was not designed to be historical per se, but was just made because it was pretty (mostly for other people who don't care so much about all that authenticity stuff).
- Katrina cotehardie - need pics
