  How it started

Hello my name is Hanna, I am the founding member of Support M.E. Hampshire I set up the group after my local youth worker suggested that it might be a good idea. After a few people attended the first couple of meetings attendance dropped to an all time low of no one! So I decided to postpone the meetings over the winter as I was really too ill in carry on. A few people expressed their disappointment at me stopping the meetings so after Christmas my mind returned to what I was going to do about the meetings. As I am also regional contact for Hampshire for a charity A.Y.M.E. I rang round my contacts and came up with the idea that if people with M.E. go out there has to be something worth doing. So I decided to try having a meeting every other month to decide on an activity to go on in the next month and so the initiative was born.
