Rho

Often known as the black sheep of the sector (though this might be replaced with the Phlanges), Rho is rough and wild, with many unexplored systems. It is the haunt of many pirates and aliens, home to one of few remaining Squat worlds left, and an Ogryn world as well. Having been only recently reopened to the Imperium, Rho has dealt with its isolation in a rather interesting way: to fight off the many threats of the sector, several systems have formed a confederation; working together, they can support a much larger fighting force then they could as individuals. This fighting force is proudly called the Rho Defense Force. Consisting of units from all the local systems, complete with naval, armored, and infantry, the RDF combined forces have managed not only to protect a large portion of this subsector but also recruit an entire army for the Imperial Guard. Their presence has allowed many systems to specialize to suit their individual needs. Because of its constant clashes with alien invaders and pirate raiders, the RDF has some of the most experienced forces in the sector. Its navy, thou small and antiquated by standard Imperial standards, has proven itself time and time again. |
