This entire essay is my own work.  I did all the research, and all the writing up.  In this English translation of the essay, all the words are my own.  In the German translation, on occasions when I had read something particularly well-written, I copied a sentence and endeavoured to highlight these and acknowledge the original author.  If any such recognition is missing, I apologise profusely and promise that if it is brought to my attention I will rectify the situation. • Juergen van de Laar's Andorra website was especially useful, and provided me with several ideas that had not previously occurred to me.

• I must also thank Dr Hilde Weiss (Vienna University). She has researched the topic of anti-Semitism in Austria, and Emailed me many interesting reports and statistics.

• Gill Stringer of Ask a Librarian, who supplied me with the statistics on the Jewish population in Austria before the war.

• My German teachers Ms Redfern und Ms Curry suggested numerous ideas and perspectives to consider, and checked the grammar for me on the German translation (before I made all the many changes!).
