Dad's 65 Nova Wagon

Notice something different?  It was the 70's you know.  My girlfriend's parents should be happy that my car has all of its windows still in place.  Anyway it met its demise in a barn under heavy gun fire and real fire..

Here we have a recent blast from the past, my Dad's former 1986 Buick t-type.  the car was simple... stock power, new paint and a little custom body work.  the car started as a factory black car with the blackout trim.  When purchased it had a punched in passenger side quarter panel and rust galore.  However, the quarter panel was rectified in time for my Senior formal... where many a burnout were performed.  Later months brought many resto parts air dam, tail lights, and so on.  they also brought custom pieces such as the 16" GTA rims with 255 and 225 60 series tires, shaved hood emblem and body emblems, full flat black grille and more.   the car ran a best of 14.00 @ 99 mph.  I will never forget just how cool it was to drive my Dad's Buick.

Isn't amazing just how much my SS looks like the t-type??? You should have seen them both in the driveway for that short while before it got sold.  the neighbors really must have had dumb-founded looks on their faces.

Just for fun here is my other Monte Carlo... it is an '83 that came with a 305 and a four barrel Q-jet, SS spoiler and tint.  She now resides in a storage yard.  I love this car because it helped me learn many things that I will never forget... mostly painful things.

My Dad's '81 'Bu L89 402 drag car... a beast of burden.  We found the car in a junkyard while looking for parts for my 83 Monte.  We took it home and basically raped the 6 cylinder car.  She has a L-89 396, th350, and an 8.5" rearend with 4.56s.  the best she ever ran was a traction limited 13.2 at around 103-105 mph.

A little custom interior thanks to me... I used a roll of upholstery (read: duct tape) to finish'er off.

You see here is the real kicker this was John's first burnout.  And we decided to do it right in front of our house. I encouraged him to do it.  After all it wasn't my car and the keys were just sitting there.  Note: I am the one working the camera.  So there he is with hundreds of horse power under his foot... what's that? the front wheel is slowly pointed toward  the camera!  Keep your foot on that brake!  Oh thank God... the total lack of brakes took him all the way down to the end of our street.  During the show we covered so passers bye in smoke while they were in their car cheering us on.  Oh, and we also made the street disappear!

Total carnage!!!

My brother's '81 'Bu Classic

Note the wheel change... this car is likely to end up a Turbo Buick powered car.  How soon?  I'd sure like to know. Oh well, John has been a big help to me so it is time to return the favor.
