the "friends"

this section of my webpage is dedicated to my grease monkey friends who are more threatened by a computer than a 1984 Dodge Omni.  And to those who just don't have the means to create an in-depth page for themselves... and for the rest of you just because I like ya.

First up is my good buddy Martin, who without I would not be involved in cars.  It was many moons ago when he worked for my father that I first saw it.  A mid 80's Regal that blew my mind.  I got a ride in it the first day that I went to work for my Dad.  This car was unlike anything I had seen or heard of before.  I have to say that this car partly influenced my SS, and I will never deny it.

Basically this car was based on the poor man's Pro Street idea, from memory the car had 295-50-15s in the back with baseball bat rolled inner fender lips.  For motivation it used a 355 with ported 305 heads, a used turbo 350 with a B&M converter, numerous rearends were blown up in this thing.  the hood scoop was a favorite with the local authorities, the exhaust used Super-Trapps (for a while) and was a favorite with the neighbors.  I also used GN dual air dams for looks, blackout trim and bumpers, and a torch made slam.  Oh and to top it all off he had a gear drive in the motor just to add to the rubber necking effect.

I couldn't get enough of this car!

And on to the next saga in a long line of cars for this boy. there is a 1987 IROC that I am trying to source out a photo of... this may take a while.

onto the present... he diverged form the good General's camp and tripped into Ford's stable.  this 1987 Mustang has undergone so bloody many changes it is mind boggling.  From yellow to silver Salleen stickers onto Steeda for today.  16" pony rims to 17" ROH to 15" Welds back to 16" ponies.

I could sit here for hours listing off the mods done to this car and quite honestly I have lost track.  In a nutshell it has twisted wedge heads, E303 cam, mass air conversion, 3.55 gears, Salleen wing, Edelbrock upper and lower intakes (I think), Ripper shifter... it goes on and on.  The car's best time is 12.6 @ 108 mph... on the Welds.

Here we have Bruce's '87 GN called "the Black Car" for obvious reasons

I must admit that this car looks pretty wild.  Reminds me of my Dad's t-type only blacker.
Its got a MAF translator and some really wild and undisclosed mods... one thing that I do know is that Bruce is a whiz with fuel injection... so watch out.

this is my neighbor Fred's car (actually it is his wife's but you know the story) It is a 350 car with ported heads, Q-jet, 700-R4, 3.73s, MSD box, and full emissions and runs high 14s to boot.  He is a great guy... I am going to learn a lot.

the car pretty much speaks for itself: One fast daily driver.

Here we have Shelby's 502/502 powered 1987 Monte SS... I have been watching this car evolve for years.  I recently met her at a car show (where I met members of the G-body.org mailing list).  She was really nice and quite interested in my car as I was in her's.  She runs a ladder bar setup and a cowl hood among other things.

We later met up yet again at a test and tune Saturday afternoon at Cayuga International Dragway Park, where we are both becoming regulars (Shelby more than me).

Just a cool pic.

To come:
Craig and Ryan's '63 Nova
Brian's LX Stang
Simon's 1LE Camaro
and many more...
