Hello and welcome. This place is to help you with problem with Nintendo Wi-Fi. I have set this up as Q&A. If there is a question here that dosn't have your awnser e-mail me and I'll put it up here. Rememebr you can see Nintendowifi.com or call there wi-fi hotline.

Hotspot

I Cant find a Hotspot?

I cant connect at a Hotspot?
First you should go straight into the game. Theres no need to change your settings. Make sure Its a compadible Nintendo Wi-Fi hotspot. If you find it on the site its compatable.

This hotspot is compatable, so why cant I still connect?
2 things may be wrong. Frist there wifi may be down. Try a diferent place. Second, it could be you. This is unlikly so if you cant connect at another hotspot, call up Nintendo

Nintendo USB Connecter

Can I use a Mac with the Nintendo USB connecter?
You must have Windows XP, so no.

Can I use Dial-up with the Nintendo USB connecter
Nintendo says no but numerous people, including myself, have be able to connnect with the USB connecter.

I keep getting "Connection Sharing Erroe" messege. Whats wrong?
A very common problom that no one has an awnser for. If it has worked and you get this uninstall it from your control panel and reinstal. Make sure you are connected to the internet and all firewalls are down(including Norton) and try aging. If it still dosn't work call nintendo.

When I tested the connection it failed. What do I do?
First try aging. Second if it dosn't work dont worry. Try to connect to Nitnendo Wifi(playing the game). I had the same problem but it still got on. Also turn off firewalls.

Where is this Nintendo Wi-fi sysyetm symbol at on my computer?
In the bottom bar to the right. The USB connecter must be in for it to apper.

Im trying to connect to my USB connecter but can't. Whats wrong?
Make sure you selected "grant permission to connect" and turn off firewalls.

I turned off all the firewalls, so why can't I connect?
Did you turn off Norton? Its in the bottom bar where the Wi-fi is. Right click and selecet"disable Norton" and till system restarts so it wont kick you off.

Wireless router

How do I know if I have a wireless router?
You should know. Check it(it might say wireless on there) or call up your provider.

How do I know if wifi workes with my router?
Go here http://www.nintendowifi.com/customersupport/supportedRouters.do most should work.

WEP key?
Its the security setting that is compatible with Nintendo wifi.

Where do I find it?
You can find the WEP Key settings for your router under the "Wireless" or "Wireless Security" sections in your router settings on your PC. Security must be set to WEP key — not to any other type of security setting — in order for you to have access to WEP Key information. (Nitnedowifi.com)

There something funny with this WEP key(All* or 2). What do I do?
First you cant use all*. If there are 2 or more use the 1st.

I meet all the other requirement but I stll cant play.
Rememebr the firewalls and what not will still stop you with a router. Turn them off as well as Norton.
