Sheep:

Britain probably has the largest range of native sheep breeds in the world. They are an integral part of our history and are descended from local types which successfully adapted to particular environmental and geographical conditions. While the diversity of native British sheep breeds owes much to the versatility of the species itself, it also derives from generations of careful shepherding and selection based on acute observations which long pre-date the scientific manipulations which are now taken for granted.

Ducks:

Cooking with duck makes a meal much more memorable as it tastes wonderful, is one of the healthier meats you can choose and is easier to cook than you may think. In fact a skinless duck fillet has less calories and less than half the fat of a skinless chicken fillet (a skinless duck fillet has 92kcal and 1.3g of fat per 100g compared to a skinless chicken fillet that has 120kcal and 3.2g of fat per 100g).

Horses:

Long ago horses used to be very important farm animals. Farmers needed them to pull the plough, pull carts with heavy loads, for transport and many other heavy jobs around the farm. Today these jobs are done by machines.

There are some farmers who still use horses to plough fields. Some do this so that we don't lose this very old way of doing things and so we can see how it used to be done. But a few farmers believe that ploughing is done better by horse, just like it used to be done for hundreds of years.
