TOM WELLING is CLARK KENT on SMALLVILE

Tom Welling made his series-starring debut in Smallville as a teenage Clark Kent struggling to come to grips with his emerging super powers. Welling will make his feature film debut this Christmas, starring with Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt and Hilary Duff in the family comedy Cheaper by the Dozen.

Born and raised in New York, Welling landed his first big break in 1999 with a six-episode romantic arc opposite Amy Brenneman on Judging Amy. He landed the role of Smallville's Clark Kent after a nationwide search for a fresh face to play the part.

Welling has relocated to Vancouver while filming the series. When not working, he enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends and running.
