In addition to normal care by a GP, we offer the following services:

Annual 75-year check available on request.

Maternity care - Ante-natal and post-natal care with the help of the community midwives and link worker.
Child health surveillance With the help of the health visitor.

Immunisation
For adults and children travelling abroad. Separate clinics for normal children's immunisations. 'Flu vaccines each year in October if you are over 65 years or have illness such as asthma or diabetes.
Vaccination Advise

Family planning
Completely confidential advice and prescription for most  methods of contraception available during normal surgery appointments. If you particularly wish to know about the IUCD (or coil), please book an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss this. Further information.

Women's health
Cervical smears are recommended every three years for women between 25 and 65. One of our practice nurses can take smears during normal surgeries. We will also arrange tests for rubella immunity and help with menopausal or fertility problems.

[ Mammography] and  Cervical Smears [cytology]

Minor surgery
We are fully equipped to do small operations. Please see Dr Murray to discuss this.

Special Medicals and Non NHS Services
For medical services not covered by the NHS such as driving and HGV medicals, private health forms,etc. Please contact the receptionist for further advise

VISITS
If you think that you need a visit by the doctor please try to contact the surgery before 10.30am. Please tell the receptionist the problem so that the doctor can assess the urgency of the call. We encourage patients to visit our surgery if possible, as facilities for tests, examination and treatment are better.
