2001 Consumption Worldwide:
-Total of 28 billion barrels of petroleum
-5 billion metric tons of coal
-2.6 trillion cubic of natural gas

-The United States is responsible for about    25 percent of consumption,
-Has less than 5 percent of the world�s    population.
-Two thirds of US petroleum use is for   transportation.
