The Vineyard at Sneed Street corner Cole Avenue was home from April 2001 to May 2002. The 4-storey apartment building was located in Uptown, Dallas, north of Downtown and the Arts District. It was less than 5 minutes from the office by car, about 7-10 minutes by bus and some 15 minutes by streetcar.

The apartment building conforms with other high-density residential developments in the Uptown area. The Vineyard itself comprises a single residential use, unlike other nearby apartment buildings which mix residential uses with commercial uses on the ground floor. Notheless, it is sited beside several low-rise office/commercial buildings on Cole Street, Carlisle Street and McKinney Avenue, creating a more active urban environment.

Guests at the Dallas apartment included cousin Jay and the Riveras. Unfortunately, as great as the apartment was, I was not able to spend much time in it. A few months after moving to Dallas, I was sent on several medium-haul assignments outside of Dallas and overseas, including a three month stint in Asia. By January 2002, it was certain that I would be relocating to Miami.
