Witches - Earth (North), Air (East), Fire (South), Water (West), and Center (the Spirit).  Each is needed to preserve the balance of magic.  Nature brings us the herbs we need to cast our spells.  The wind brings us our insperation.  Fire helps us to bind our castings.  And water helps to keep our heads.  Center is the The Spirit of all magic, the keeper of the balance.   We pray to thee for guidence, help us to keep our vow.  To harm none, to charish our gifts, and to protect those who need us the most.  A witch isn't just spells and potions, a witch if he/she proves him/herself to the councel can be granted an "active power" or a special "gift" that is a power they have outside of thier corner magics.  Four is the greatest number of witches to a coven, though more is always good, the strongest castings are done by one witch of each corner working together.  Just throw in a center and see what happens.

Darklings - Born of witch and demon, these creatures reap the benifits of magic from both.  Though it is in thier nature to be evil there is always an acception the rule.  There are two kinds of Darkling.  The royals and the commons.  Each city is know to have a royal family, each baring certain marks, or other physical features to prove that there blood is the thickest of thier colony. The commons are either born of weak blood (being born half human or of a witch. )  or are humans that have proven themselves to the regent of the city.  If this is the case the king/gueen of the the colony preforms a ritual to bind thier blood with the blood of the chosen and forces the first bit of magic into the human.   In doing so the king/queen leaves the human with a piece of the very demon that created them.

Gaurdians - One of the rarest creatures of the magical world the Gaurdians are half angel half witch.  To most, this mix of religons is not only unheard of but impossible.  Try telling that to one of these rather incredible beings.  The Garudian can be on either side of good or evil, thus making it difficult to know what kind of person lies benieth thier angelic faces. 

Healers - The healers job is to protect thier charges at any cost.  Even thier own lives!  Healers are here to protect the magic users of the world.  Each Healer is chosen after thier mortal death.  The chance to become a healer is only given to the select few, the witches or mortals that have spent thier lives, and sometimes even given thier lives, helping people.   As a healer the idividual is given may chances to live, as long as they help the ones in need.   A healer can be chosen by the councel or by the many incarnations of death.   Each is given a type of "danger sense" that allows them to know when thier charges are in trouble.  Some Healers are not assigned charges and merely have to rely on thier "danger sense" to tell them who to heal.  For example Avalon's resident Healer

The Dealers - Born demons or at least a demon reborn into a human body.  A dealer is a creature of unmatched power.  Thier name is given to them because of what they do.  A dealer in the shortest of an explaination makes deals with induviduals.  Most of thier clients are of the supernatural.  Though from time to time they do work with mortals.  If you want something but don't have the ability to get it on your own just find one of these guys.  They can get you anything your heart desires.  The only catch is the price. 

The Immortals - One the orginal Demon to walk the earth and the other her sister the first witch.  These two are the strongest and most powerful of any beings known on this plane.  Both have the power to unmake what is or make it better.  The only problem is they hate each other.  That and the fact that if they are both on the earth at the same time all life my end as we know it. 

Shadow Witches - The darker side of what may happen to a witch after death.  This is what happens to a witch that has wasted her life doing nothing for others and has made it her goal to use her powers for evil.   As a punishment the council sentences thier souls to a rather grizzle unlife as a shadow witch.  Only being harmed by light a shadow witch can move through shadows and appears as only a shadow themselves.  With this new found darkness this creature does have the ability to move objects with it's ghostly hands and even bite and claw others.  The only way out of an eternity as a shadow witch is to kill a witch and consume her heart.

The Oracle - Origanally  known as the seven daughters of Fate.  The oracles where the most powerful beings of, and the keepers of, third sight.  Unfortunatly the last of the original sisters past away in this last year, but she did manage to give her powers to another.  And until someone else is choosen to take on the duty of being the oracle, she is stuck with her new found powers. 

The Fates - These ancient and undying sisters are able to change the course of your life.  The end all for most the fates are known for cutting out the weak links of humanity.  Deciding what turn you take and when it is your last is thier job.  And after centuries they have gotten used to how frail and meaningless life can be for a mortal.  But it's all in a days work for these three girls.

The Council - The witch's council is made up of one witch of each corner (North, South, East, West, and Center).  The council is ever changing.  Each witch is chosen at birth by the fates to sit at the council.  While serving on the council the member has the power of the spirit (spirit of all magic)  at his/her fingertips.  They are also looked up to, to protect all of the witches of thier corner.  They may visit the witches in need.  Or give them help in the way of magical power boosts.  A member of the council may keep their seat as long as they are needed (1-1000 years).
