"Hi, I'm Ezra. Yes, I'm the same Ezra you met five minutes ago, even though you don't recognize me. You probably won't recognize me again in another five minutes or so, because I see Death snickering over by that tree..."

Strength: Ezra's compassion extends far and beyond what most people allow themselves to feel. Her wit and quick-thinking often save her and those around her, and her perceptiveness and empathy help her stay on top of things.
Weakness: Ezra has bad luck, it's as pure and simple as that. She had great difficulty in teleporting when she first gained the ability, but has since all but mastered it. Her desire to always help others sometimes gets her into trouble, too.

Ezra was born to a strong Christian home about 20 miles east of Avalon. There, she grew into a sweet young woman, excelling in her schoolwork (she was home-schooled) and volunteering at the local community center. Despite her faith in her religion, she began to feel as though she was not meant for that, but for something else... something she felt deep inside of her. At the age of 12, her father died in an accident involving a teenage driver under the influence while on his way home from work one evening. Ezra remained strong through her mother's faith, and leaned wholeheartedly on her. Ezra had no friends, after all. None other than her mother and her pet parakeet, that is. She experienced death again soon after her father's death, when her budgerigar passed away one summer afternoon. Her mother continued to homeschool her, teach her about life, and encourage her until she had a mammogram on her 38th birthday that revealed breast cancer. This was to be her baseline mammogram, and neither one of them had expected anything to come of it. Unfortunately, it was the most aggressive form of breast cancer, and upon further examination, they discovered that it had already spread to her brain. Ezra was devastated, but hopeful. She was 17 years old at this point, and could handle it. After all, her mother would come out of this with the new chemotherapy treatments she would soon be undergoing. Ezra's reality was shattered, therefore, when her mother passed away only four months after she was diagnosed. This was the breaking point, the defining moment in every witch's life, when they come into their powers. Ezra decided right then and there, beside her mother's deathbed, that she wanted to be able to heal people--save people--so that they didn't have to go through what she had gone through. Once she had pulled herself together, Ezra took the ACT and got her GED. Using what her parents have left her--plus a few student loans--she put herself through a nursing program at the nearby college in Avalon. By becoming a nurse, she hoped to save lives. In fact, she did. Ezra secured a job in the emergency room of Avalon's hospital once she graduated. She paid off all of her student loans and got an apartment right next to the hospital. She ran into the witches and darklings of Avalon not too long after that, and used her knowledge of trauma care to help save Amy. To Ezra's misfortune, she got into a taxi cab with a witch whom death was after, and was crushed in the accident. She died instantly. Her friends affectionately referred to her later as "Ezra hamburger." The Council gave her the opportunity to come back as a healer, and she very gladly accepted. Now she could do what she had always dreamed of doing, and she enjoys it immensely.

Key Moment: Ezra, ironically enough, is the reason that the group exists today... even though she didn't meet them until they were all already together. Ezra was sent back in time to secure a relationship that would spawn the future Center of The Council. She succeeded, but only after having witnessed through a vision what would happen if she failed. In this vision, Priest was evil and attempted to 'Spirit Nuke' them, only to 'Spirit Nuke' himself. Ezra was left standing there behind where Priest had just been, holding all that was left of the man--his testicles.

The Others:
Alaina: I really don't know much about her at all.... she's quite uncouth in her methods, and she's got a teenage attitude to her.... but it seems to add to her strange charm.
Amy: Hormonal and fiesty. She's sensitive on the inside, even when she's putting on a harsh front. Her book of shadows is very odd.
Athena: She seems to be very open and forthcoming... I don't know her very well, though I hear she wakes up in the most mysterious circumstances...
Ben: What a lovely young man. He's a bit of a lummox, but sometimes brute strength is just what you need in a fight. Strange that a darkling came to our side.... but it seems Amy's passion has attracted him to us.
Eddie: Please don't give Eddie alcohol, drugs, or anything that could "influence" him. Enough said. Ok, really, he's very nice, but...
Gwen: Wonderful woman. She's always there when you need her, or when you are lost, and she is always willing and able.
Ivy: What a crazy, lovable old bat. You're never quite sure how senile she is, and she'd probably make a splendid actress. She has some very handy spells - though they may be a bit unorthodox.
Jade: He's flat out obnoxious... but in a good way. When it comes to crunch time, he's very resourceful.
Priest: Ohhh, don't get me started on Priest. It's a hate/kind of like relationship. One minute he's the sweetest man on the earth to me, and the next he's killing people and trying to release demons into Avalon. I'm not sure how I feel about that man. I'm in nearly constant conflict over it, but he always does something to make me angry in the end... something juvenile. Even so, he does seem to care a lot about me. Who knows, maybe he will change...? There's always hope for the future.
