| here and I think she might be dead." Gwen glares at Alaina. "Alaina that is so mean." she looks over at the elderly woman. "And possibly true. Eww." As Gwen begins the incantation the door begins to open. Alaina's eyes get wide as she watches it swing open. "This be what I am, and what I wish to see. As I will it so shall it be." A nurse inters the room looking at towards Gwen. "Doctor, how is our patient?" Alaina looks back at Gwen to see the doctor standing in her place, as she hears in his voice. "Fine, she's just fallen asleep. Perhaps we should let her rest?" "Yes, doctor." the nurse says as she turns and leaves the room. Alaina's excited by this display. "You so have to teach me that." "First thing tomorrow. Come on let's go." Gwen says as they leave the room and walk out the doors of the hospital. "Ok, now how do we get where we need to go?" Gwen asks. Alaina looks over at a red convertable with it's top down. "I have an idea. But I don't think you're going to like it." About five minutes later. "I'm going to pretend I didn't just watch you hot wire a car." Gwen says as she jumps into the vehicle. "I grew up in foster homes. This is nothing. You should see me hack into goverment files." Alaina smiles at her as she hops into the passenger side of the car. "And they say your generation is a buch of slackers." "Nope just hackers and theives." they drive off. "You had to pick a convertable." Gwen says to her. "Sorry, there weren't any SUVs around." Alaina rolls her eyes at Gwen. "When we get home, we are going to talk about that attitude." Gwen points a finger at Alaina. "Ooo. I'm really scared." Alaina says under her breath. Ivy after running for a few minutes stops to catch her breath. "Forget this." she raises her palm. "I summon thee to come to me, the object that I wish. Brodrick's foot." she braces herself. "Come boy." after about a minute she can see Brodrick sliding down the sidewalk his left foot leading him. "What the hell!" he screams as he approaches her. When he gets close enough to her he falls on his back his foot raises to meet with Ivy's hand. She drops his foot. "Now do you want to tell me who your friend was? Or shall I summon him too?" Gwen pulls the car up infront of Brodrick's apartment. "Jade would have come here first." she hops out followed by Alaina. "Let's see if they are inside. I hope they're both safe." "What could happen?" Alaina says as they enter the hallway. "The doors open." Gwen says as she rushes inside the room. "Oh God, Jade!" she rushes to his side, his body is growing cold but he is still breathing. "Hold on Jade." Gwen leaning over Jade looks up as if someone is standing infront of her. "Oh, sh**. He's dying." Alaina says panicing. Gwen can hear a voice whispering to her. "You can do it. Help him. Heal him." "I don't know if I can." she replies to the voice. "Last time I tried to heal someone I blew off thier finger. That's not my idea of helping!" she looks down at Jade. "Fine!" Gwen leans down placing her hand just between the two wounds, and begins to chant. Alaina watchs as Jade's body begins to go into convoltions. The bullets work thier way out of his torso each falling to the ground. Each wound quickly seals it's self. Jade sits up scaring both Gwen and Alaina. "I thought we were going to loose you." Gwen says as she wraps her arms around Jade to hug him. Alaina looks around the room. "Where's Brodrick?" A few moments later. "It would appear that our friend Brodrick pissed off the wrong guy with a gun." Jade says as he looks around the trashed apartment. Gwen looks over at him. "What did the man look like?" Jade goes quiet for a minute. "Um, he was about 5'6'' dark hair and eyes, he had a tatoo on his wrist but I couldn't really see it. Oh, and he was wearing a blue bandana." Alaina glances over to see Gwen's eyes get really wide. "Gwen? What's wrong?" "Blue bandana." she says. "Blue and Yellow bandana's can't be sold in Avalon. Not sense they became gang colors. Brodrick wears a yellow bandana under his hat." Gwen looks down at the floor. "I can't believe I never made the connection until now." Jade walks over to her lifting her chin up towards him. "He's still Brodrick. The same man he was when he was helping us to protect Ellie." Alaina stands up. "And don't forget about my evil great ancester." Gwen stands up as well. "How could I." she starts to walk out. "Let's go find him." "I've made some bad choices..." Brodrick explains to Ivy. "I made a deal with the devil. And now...I have to pay up." "Well, then." Ivy walks him back to her car. "Let's see if we find something else to pay him with. Don't worry, I'll help you to get out of this." Brodrick looks down at the ground and then changes his glance to Ivy. "Why are you doing this? You don't even know me." "That is true. But I got that vision for a reason. And I know I have to save you. Even if you do have a problem putting on a clean shirt." Brodrick laughs at. Jade Alaina and Gwen walk out of the apartment building. Jade seeing the car parked out front. "What's with the convertable?" Alaina and Gwen look at each other. "Don't ask." they walk down the sidewalk turning the corner Jade spots the man from the apartment. "There!" he points at him. "That's the bastard that shot me." Gwen looks at both Jade and Alaina. "Let's follow him shall we." They follow the man down an ally. The man keeps his focus forward. "Anyone else getting an errie feeling?" Alaina whispers. "That's because this is a trap." Gwen whispers back. "Yippie." Jade replies. "You might want to pick up a weapon." Gwen tells them. "To late." Gwen says as the man turns around. "Didn't I shoot you?" the man asks Jade. "I guess I will have to use more than two bullets this time." "We're going to die!" Alaina says. |
