| At the hospital. Alaina sits in a waiting room with Jade. "The t.v. is stuck on the history channel." she looks over at Jade. "Learning sucks." he shakes his head at her. A doctor walks in to talk to them. "Are you her family?" Jade and Alaina look at each other. "Yeah." they both answer. "We want to keep her around for some tests. We can't find what triggered it." Alaina steps up to the doctor. "Can we see her?" They enter the room where Gwen is lying on a bed staring out the window. "You know this room has a wonderful view of the parking lot." she laughs as she turns her head towards them. Alaina sits down on the edge of the bed and gives Gwen a hug. "Are you ok?" "Yeah, I'm fine. All better, I just wish the doctors would believe that." Jade sits on the other side of the bed. "Do you remember what you said in the ambulance? About Brodrick?" Gwen looks at him confused. "No, what did I say?" Jade stands, walks over to the door, and closes it. He sits back down. "You said Brodrick was going to die. And that there would be no one to save him." Gwen tosses off her blanket and begins to hop out of her bed. Jade stops her. "What are you doing? Get back in your bed." She lays back down. "Ok, but if I'm staying here you're going. If I said Brodrick was going to die....prove me wrong Jade." Brodick looks over at Ivy. "Tell me again why I'm trusting you?" he says as he jumps in her car. "Because..." she explains. "I'm here to keep you alive." she takes a look at what he's wearing. "You know I could wait if you would like to go inside and put on a cean shirt." he glares at her. "Very well. Buckle up." she says as she starts the engine and drives off. Alaina walks up to Gwen and sits on the side of her bed with a soda in one hand and a snickers in the other. She bites into the candy bar. "I'm sorry did you want something?" she says with her mouth full. gwen shakes her head. "No, thank you, watching you mutilate that candy bar is enough to make anyone lose thier appitite. But thank you anyway." Alaina glares at Gwen. Gwen laughs at Alaina for a minute before the doctor walks in. "How are you feeling?" she looks at him. "Fine, I'm ready to get out of here. I'm not a big fan of hospitals." the doctor steps closer to her. "So, you're feel well enough to go home? I'll see what I can do about you leaving here a little sooner ok." "Thank you doctor." Alaina finishes her candy bar and starts to take a drink of her soda, when Gwen grabs her by the wrist. Alaina puts her arm down and looks at her. Gwens eyes role back into her head as she begins to shake. "Shit!" Alaina says as she jumps up off the bed the doctor rushes to Gwen's side. The doctor reaches to steady Gwen's body. "No! Don't touch her!" Alaina says, but she's to late the doctor's hand touches to Gwen's bare arm. "Oh my God!" Alaina watches as the man falls to the ground his body shaking wildly and his mouth foaming. Alaina Screams. Ivy turns a corner to be stopped by traffic. "To look at the traffic you would think that people would never get anywhere." she sighs and looks over at her passenger. "So, what is your name young man?" he nervously looks around at the street and then back at her. "Brodrick..... Do you reallize what street we are on?" he says as he begins to look around again. "Well.....Madison? Why?" "No reason." he says quickly. "Do you think we could get off this street? Like now!" "Of course. I just move the other cars with my mind. No, we can't. We have to wait. Why are you so fidgity?" "I'm not." he replies. "I just know where we are. And this one place I don't want to be right now." Ivy looks back at the road inching her car down the street. "Why is that?" Ivy asks him. "Hey you!" they hear a man call from across the street. "Well, goodness, who does that man think he is?" she turns to ask Brodrick to see he isn't in his seat. "Where on earth?" she looks to see Brodrick running down the street being chased by the man who was just yelling at him. "Well, I guess he knew who he was." she hears a car horn behind her. "You think you don't like me now. Just Wait two seconds." she unbuckles her seat belt, takes off her gloves, puts them in the glove-box, and steps out of the car. Waving to the man in the car behind her. "Tootles." she smiles at him and wispers to herself before walking down the street. "Rot in hell you horn blowing bastard." Jade walks up to Brodrick's apartment. He knocks once and the door opens it's self. He can hear the sound of someone talking. Jade steps into the room to be met by a man with a gun. "Who the hell are you?" the man asks. "I'm..." Jade puts up his hand to show that he is unarmed. "Doesn't matter." the man says coldly. He shoots off two rounds. Jade falls to his knees, blood running down his stomach.. The man apoaches him putting his hand on Jade's shoulder. "Maybe now my old friend will get the message. Nothing against you personaly. But you're here. And he's not." the man walks out leaving Jade as he collapses on the ground. "Aileen." he wispers. Back at the hospital. Alaina is trying to talk Gwen out of leaving the hospital. "What do you think you can just walk out of her. Like they are not going to notice you." Gwen stands up off the bed as she puts on her shoes. "You're right. They will notice me. That's why I'll have to be him." she point to Alaina. "Help me lay him on the bed." Gwen looks at the doctor that is out on the floor. "So, what is the plan exactly?" "Well, I'm going to glamour myself to look like the doctor. And glamour him to look like me." they lay the man on the bed covering him with the sheet. "With me so far?" "Sure. What do you need?" Gwen looks around the room. "Um, a candle and some flower petals." Alaina pulls back the curtain next to Gwen's bed. "Excuse me." She picks a couple flowers from the arangment laying next to an elder woman. "You have a nice nap now." she pats the woman on the head. "Alaina!" "What? She's is not going to miss them. Besides she hasn't moved sense we got |
