| The room is dark and cold. Gwen lies on a bed her hands strapped down. A woman in a lab coat walks into the room. "How are you doing today miss Perkins?" Gwen begins to struggle. trying despritely to escape the restraints. "Stay away! Get Away from me!" Gwen jumps up from her bed, breathing heavily, her long strawberry locks fall over her shoulders. She looks around her room, realizing that it was just a dream. She hears a knock on her bedroom door. "You ok in there?" Alaina calls. Gwen looks down at her wrists seeing the scars that wrap around them. "Yeah, it was just a bad dream." she lays back down on the bed, closing her eyes. "Just a dream." Morning comes. The bright sunlight fills the house, the smell of fresh baked cinnimon rolls fills the air. Alaina wakes up from her deep slumber hungry and suprisingly perky. She walks down stairs to greet Gwen that is in the kitchen retreaving the rolls from the oven. "Did you sleep well?" Gwen asks. "The matress has a lump in it the size of a softball. How about you? What's up with that dream you had last night?" She says as she burns herself on a bit of icing. Gwen slaps Alaina's hand. "Could you at least let it cool before you inhale the thing?" Alaina starts to suck on her burnt finger. "What?" Gwen just shakes her head. Across town in the basement of Jade's house, where he is once again being picked up off the ground. "Everyday I kick your ass. You would think that after a while you would fight back." Aileen says with a smile. "Very funny." Jade says as he is helped to his feet. "I have a few books I want you to look over. Herbology, Myths of the Old World, and Helpful Spells and incantations." Aileen hands the books to him. "I noticed that a few of the herbs in this book are rather rare. You might have to find someone who specializes in rare herbs. Someone that can help you to "see" them." she melts into the fountain beside her. Jade looks around the room for a minute. "Gwen's house it is." At the edge of town, in an abandoned old church. There are more than a dozen men most in black suits, the room is filled with computers and other electronics. One man leans in close to a computer screen. "Sir!" He yells to one of the other men. "I think we've found her. Number 362." The other man walks over to the computer with a smirk. "There you are. Send an agent after her." "Which one?" a voice asks from behind him. "Send in Priest." the man says as he smiles at the others. A man sits at a table in a small caf'e sipping on a coffee, when his phone rings. "Hello. I think I can do that. What's the address?" the man hangs up, stands, and pats his leg. "Here Chewie." He says as a german shepard walks up to him. The man bends down and feels around for the dog's leash. "Good boy." He says as he carefully stands back up and adjusts his dark glasses. As he begins to walk away a strand of prayer beads slide out of his sleeve. He quickly tucks them back in and continues on his way. "Today's going to be a good day Chewie." he takes in a deep breath. "Now let's go get that witch." Back at Gwen's. Alaina walks into the study, liking the icing off of her fingers. She sits down in front of the computer and begins to check her e-mail, as she spots a small wooden box beside her on the desk. "Huh?" she looks over to the door, making sure that Gwen isn't anywhere near, then picks it up. "What secrets do you hold little box?" she holds it up to her ear and shakes it around, hearing something clink inside, she opens it. In the box is bunch of news paper clipings, pictures and a wedding band. Alaina filled with curiousity begins to look through everygthing. "Wedding anouncment? Alexander James Reed to Gwenith Ann Perkins? Gwen was married?" hearing a noise she looks back to the door, seeing nothing she begins to read again. "Audrea Eilaine Reed, daughter of Alexander and Gwenith Reed. Gwen never mentioned having a daughter. I wonder where she is?" she picks up a picture, in it is a young man with light brown hair and blue eyes, and Gwen holding an infant wtih it's mother's dark chocolate eyes. "Wow, this is creepy. Gwen had a family. What happened to you?" she puts the picture down and picks up another news cliping. "Murder in a small town. Oh, my God! A one miss Gwenith Reed was convicted for first degree murder today. Holy shit!" The door slams shut. Alaina jumps to her feet dropping the box and spilling it's contents. "Is something wrong?" Gwen asks her. "You look a little shakey." she says her eyes never straying from Alaina's. "I'm fine." she says as she bolts for the door. Gwen watches her leave and then walks over to pick up the mess. She picks up a picture of the baby. "I miss you Audrea. I miss you so much." a tear rolls down her cheek. She wipes it away and hears a knock at the door. "I'll get it." she yells into the other room. She puts the box down on the desk as she leaves the room. Gwen answers the door to see Jade. "Come in Jade." she let's him in closing the door behind him. "The green house is in the back. just walk through the french doors in the kitchen." He looks at her amazed. "Wow, your good." she points to another door in the kitchen. The pantry is there. I keep all the rare herbs in there." she winks at him. She follows him into the kitchen and sees Alaina standing behind the bar. "Hi Jade." she says nervously. "What are you doing?" "Gwen and I are going to check out the green-house." he says as he opens the doors. "All alone?" Alaina says a little shakey. "Oh, my God. This place makes my green-house look a little small. Maybe I should think about upgrading?" Jade walks down the steps into the large glass room. Gwen turns around and closes the doors. As she walks by a table she picks up a pair of pruning shears. Alaina rushes to the doors, nervously watching Gwen's every move. Gwen slowly walks up |
