I'm rather proud that the list of gigs I've gone to has been growing nicely and I hope that will continue, as I discover talents new and old and continue to enjoy my old favourites. This page is for me to keep track of every act I've seen and be able to remember unforgettable moments in my life and some great times with friends.- Warner Theatre, Washington, DC - review hereI've arranged this list in reverse chronological order by year, as the ones I've been to most recently are obviously clearest in my mind. As you can see, I didn't go to any gigs in 2005, owing to a chemotherapy cycle/illness/convalesce. I also had to miss out on a string of English dates after getting stuck in hospital for 2 weeks in late October to early November 2006 too. However, things nicely turned around in the spring of 2006 and beyond.
I've already traveled abroad three times to see a band...with possibly more chances on the way. If you're wondering how I manage to go on all these trips for gigs, these trips *are* my holidays! When everyone else goes to the beach or NYC or some other city, I'm off seeing gigs. I'm not the most frugal person, but I manage okay :)
My current plans for 2009 are to 1) experience a European summer festival (my friends and I are thinking Lowlands, Benicassim, Roskilde, Latitude, or Reading/Leeds) or 2) visit England again in fall or winter, preferably both!
