I'm rather proud that the list of gigs I've gone to has been growing nicely and I hope that will continue, as I discover talents new and old and continue to enjoy my old favourites. This page is for me to keep track of every act I've seen and be able to remember unforgettable moments in my life and some great times with friends.

I've arranged this list in reverse chronological order by year, as the ones I've been to most recently are obviously clearest in my mind. As you can see, I didn't go to any gigs in 2005, owing to a chemotherapy cycle/illness/convalesce. I also had to miss out on a string of English dates after getting stuck in hospital for 2 weeks in late October to early November 2006 too. However, things nicely turned around in the spring of 2006 and beyond.

I've already traveled abroad three times to see a band...with possibly more chances on the way. If you're wondering how I manage to go on all these trips for gigs, these trips *are* my holidays! When everyone else goes to the beach or NYC or some other city, I'm off seeing gigs. I'm not the most frugal person, but I manage okay :)

My current plans for 2009 are to 1) experience a European summer festival (my friends and I are thinking Lowlands, Benicassim, Roskilde, Latitude, or Reading/Leeds) or 2) visit England again in fall or winter, preferably both!

• Huey Lewis and the News - 11.08.02 - Wolf Trap Filene Center, Vienna, VA - staged on a typical (for Washington) disgustingly hot and humid in August, this sold-out show packed quite a lot of energy

2001

• Duran Duran - 19.06.01 - Shibuya-AX, Tokyo, Japan - I was in my element here at this smallish club show, as all the concertgoers were about my size and height and amazingly, I wasn't squished!
• Duran Duran - 17.06.01 - Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo, Japan - my first-ever Duran concert, an amazing experience in itself and probably what most people refer to when they say I'm a crazy Duranie, because I went to this show a couple weeks after graduating from college and wanted to make sure I'd see the N/S/W lineup during my lifetime
