*Howie’s View*
Here we are. It’s been about 3 days since Mary and Nick got together. We are packing up the bus right now. And I’m going on tour girlfriend-less once again. But I’ve got some great company. So’Cy is here. She is so great and funny and all around cute. And Rachel and AJ are back together. I’m glad that happened. I was tired of him moping around looking like a little lost puppy. And when Mary left Nick was doing the same thing. I wondered what was going to happen between Mary and Brian. She hadn’t spoke to him since she left. She didn’t even say good bye. I don’t blame her though. He did her completely wrong. Everyone in the group wasn’t too happy with him. But he seems to be happy with Leighanne. He just didn’t have to do that to Mary. Well, that’s in the past. We’re almost finished packing up the bus, the girls ran to the store. I was putting my stuff on my bunk when Rachel walked on the bus.
“Hey How.” She said.
“Hey…ya could have been gone longer we’re not done yet.” I told her. The part I hated about touring was the packing of the bus, and I knew from past experience that Rachel hated it too.
“Nah, then I couldn’t be here to complain with you.” She said with a smile on her face.
“I don’t complain.” I defended.
“You do in your own way. But it’s okay…so how much more do we have to do?” She was right…I complain in my own way, I don’t voice it I just kinda sit back and watch.
“Ya see all those bags out there?” I said while pointing. “All that.”
“Howie…all that was there when we left.” She observed.
“Not all of it…most of it.” We were picky on what went where. Well not all of us, some of us would have just thrown it in and left. I’m not mentioning names.
“Hey D. Hey babygirl.” AJ said as he kissed her. I felt like gagging.
“Hey AJ.” I said.
“How, we gotta get this stuff on the bus and go.” AJ said as he wrapped his arms around Rachel.
“Here’s an idea.” Rachel said has she put AJ’s baseball cap over his eyes. “Why don’t the both of you just get out there, grab a bag and throw it neatly in the bus.” She said as she walked out and stressing the word neatly. She joined the other girls that were sitting on the parking lot.
“She’s got a good idea.” AJ said while readjusting his hat.
“Why didn’t we think of it?” I joked.
Rachel always did push us to pack faster. Without her and Mary we would be there till nightfall. That’s when we just got everyone together and just started carrying bags onto the bus. I looked over at So’Cy a couple of times and found her looking at me. I would always smile at her and carry on with whatever I was doing. I was starting to like So’Cy, I started liking her from the time I first saw her. I liked her as a friend but now I want to be more. We always talked about the music business or our families. And she had some wild stories about her family. I have no idea how she felt about me. And I’m not sure if I should do anything.
After we finally got the bus packed everyone got off and we were on our way. Mary hadn’t said too much to Brian. Or anyone for that matter, something was on her mind. We were all in the back watching TV. “Hey Howie. Can I talk to you at the front of the bus.” So’Cy said walking towards the front.
“Yeah.” I wondered what was up.
“Hey this isn’t real easy for me to say but.” I looked into her brown eyes.
