BONNIE OVER BALTIMORE Part VII-AT HOME IN TRENTON
BONNIE Part VII-AT HOME IN
TRENTON
Here is a shot of our host's entryway. I think here, as with any fine
homestead, we are given subtle clues as to the type of person who dwells
within.
The Kardas Manor Entryway.
You can see that SONNY is a well organized "MAN-ABOUT-INTERNET" from this snapshot.
Notice that all the neccesities for the computer surfer are tidy and at
hand:all the latest Attic/Beanie finds still bagged and awaiting cataloging
so that they can be added to his growing collection or be sold/traded to
other collectors, the stacks of Priority Mail boxes for mailing out these
goodies to their new homes, and the cases of soda for those late-night
internet "sugar pick-me ups".
Leave it to SONNY to know what makes even the weariest traveler feel
welcomed. Here is a display of BBOC Trading Cards presented for the delight
of any guest. Reading material right at hand for those cold Trenton nights.
They just seem to say, "Open a box and take a few home."
The Complete Host is always prepared for any emergency that should arise.
SONNY came home to find that his furnace was off and had been broken for
approximately two days. Not wanting his guests to be frostbitten in the 51
degree temperature inside the manse he was ready with his BACK-UP HEATING SYSTEM. These cuties keep the
visitor to CHATEAU KARDAS warm and toasty!
Scud Kitties.
While SONNY & SLUGGY attending to some computer business I decided to unpack
some new residents of Clinton St. Who is that I spy? Could it
be....CLIFFORD, GLORIA, REGGIE, SPENCER & 4th gen DIGBY?
While they got settled in I made an exquisite centerpiece using some old
brick bits from the demolished apartment building across the street, a box
of paper clips that I artfully rebent, some glitter and puffy paint in
co-ordinating tones and a rare MING VASE that I had lying around. It was
makeshift but tasteful, proving once again that you can do wonders with that
handy Glue Gun!
The next morning while SONNY & SLUGGY attended to inept heating technicians
and did some personal grooming I got reaquainted with one of the Siamese
feline residents here in Trenton. I wasn't sure if she remembered me at
first and feared I might end up as a kitty hor
d'oeuvre.
But everyone here at CHATEAU KARDAS is so
congenial that I needn't fear such a fate. One of her brothers even offered
me a tongue bath later-how thoughtfull!
I was finally reunited with my "Amour" BLUEBEARRY. It was so nice to see him
after such a long separation. I had bought him a small gift at the
Convention in Baltimore in hopes we would see each other in Trenton. Does
he look stunning in his new tie dyed Convention T-Shirt? What a stud muffin
he is!
Bluebearry snuggles with Bonnie.
Here we are surfing the net on SONNY'S Mac. With BLUE at the keyboard and
me manning the mouse we will have little trouble hacking into EBAY
and reeking havoc with their codes.
That BLUEBEARRY is always up to something....what a card!
Sshhh....don't tell SONNY we were shill bidding!teehee
We also decided to get started on that genealogy study we had talked about
in Tenerife. Here we are doing a little research on our relations and
ancestors. My, what a diverse family tree we belong to.
Notice how BLUEBEARRY, always the "gentle bear", is shielding my sight so I
don't catch a glimpse of those two rather large Cats on the facing page.
It is advisable for parched scholars to take a break for refreshments. Here
are BLUEBEARRY & I brewing up a batch of nice hot tea. That will be most
yummy for our tummies.
I was so thirsty that I sat right down on the strainer, opened up my beak as
wide as I could and told Blue to just pour it right into my mouth!haha
Notice the sample sized jars of fruit jellies that SONNY lifted from the
Hotel Restaurant. When mixed with ginger, tumeric, and nutmeats makes a
very tasty psuedo Chutney spread. I like to serve it in a vintage LIMOGE
Porcelain Chafing Dish sprinkled with some chopped spring onions. I
accompany this with a tasteful arrangement of tea bisquits on a pewter
charger plate.
All too soon the roads on Clinton St. were cleared of the snowfall and
SLUGGY & I had to bid Adieu to SONNY, BLUEBEARRY and the KITTIES at CHATEAU KARDAS. As SONNY was still attending to the
Heating Technician(or so he called himself)when we took our leave I left
this note for him.
BLUEBEARRY and I shared an intense goodbye then SLUGGY & I were off to her
cabin in the Mountains.
