BONNIE OVER BALTIMORE PART VIII

BONNIE OVER BALTIMORE
Part VIII

THE POCONOS OR BUST

We were off that morning heading north into Pennsylvania. I got to see a kewl bit of history along the way. On the way to Sluggy's we drove along the Delaware River. You might remember it as the River that George Washington crossed back during the Revolutionary War when he took his Troops from Valley Forge to surprise attack the British outside of Trenton. Later in American History, the Delaware River was a major artery of transportation for bringing goods north into New York and beyond and also for transporting raw materials like coal and wood down river to the port cities of Trenton, Philadeplphia & Camden.A Canal was dug out alongside the River so travel was not impeded by currents & tides. Flat bottom boats pulled by Mules were used well into the 20th century on this Canal. There were signs with alot of information about what life was like along the Canal for the workers and their families. It looked like a hard life to me!

Freezing my Tail off by the Canal.

It was nice to get back to the Poconos and SLUGGY'S place. We unpacked a bit that night and dug CODY out from his hiding place in the lugguage. I donned my Biker Chick Duds & CODY put on his Harley Vest and we posed for this shot before cruising out for a little fun at the local Watering Hole.

NICHOLAS stayed behind with the rest of the gang at SLUGGY'S house. All that attention and partying in Baltimore had taken it's toll on him, poor thing! After talking a bit with GEORGIA, NICHOLAS decided he needed to go "in Cognito" for awhile to get away from all those hoards of admirers. GEORGIA suggested a little disguise for him.

Nobody here but us Hares.

That night NICHOLAS & I overheard SLUGGY mention that our new friend SKYLAR was slated to be the Official Mascot for next year's Ty Convention in Sunny Phoenix. NICHOLAS took it upon himself to enlight SKYLAR as to what he was in for in the coming year.

After mulling a few ideas over NICHOLAS & I were able to come up with the perfect solution to his impending stardom.

Nicholas the Easter Bunny and Two "Chicks".

This disguise might at least give him a few months of peace & quiet while he hides out til next March.
After all the excitement of this weekend I found myself falling asleep still in my Biker Duds on SLUGGY'S bed. I had quite a shock when I woke up the next morning to find myself surrounded by Giant BEANIES!!

EEK! I am surrounded.

I thought it was a very bad dream! But it turns out that these were just SLUGGY'S new BEANIE BUDDIES saying HI to me. They made me feel right at home.
Later that day, some of SLUGGY'S Old Tag ATTIC Friends invited me to a little Farewell Party. Of course, in order to "fit in" I had to disrobe and get "nekkid".

Bonnie sheds her inhibitions.

What a friendly bunch of relations I have!
After my farewell party it was time once again to say goodbye to new friends and waddle my way into the Priority Box for my next adventure as I go "Around the World".
It has been fun so far.
I wonder where I will land next? Til then this is

BONNIE
