Sludge
isn’t noise. After qualifying the NU 107 Rock Assembly
2000, courage turned up a blast. Sludge simply means mud.
Their God given talents is the engine to function. For
them, playing music is not for money but it is what the
cravings of mind and soul expressing. They worked for
own good and satisfaction negating the suggestion of the
crowd. Lending ears to listeners is unnecessary.
For
the first place, they gathered together as friends. Each
of them came from bands that play punk, alternative and
grunch until such music known as “New Breed Hardcore”
has much been focussed. Bands like Slipknot, Soulfly,
Hedpe, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, Snot and All
Out War did inspire the fire of interest. Sludge’s ex
Bassist, Prinze Giuseppe Acapulco, contributed style and
fundamentals to the band. Since he left the band, it was
like a sudden shut down but as journey goes, there came
Paul Aguilar, who has a talent of excellence.
Through
mind, power and influence, they produce their own original
composition. Rejection of cover songs is much given attention.
For them, generating a band is not only about polishing
skills and talents but of being as one and upgrade values
that
are applicable to life. Sludge isn’t loud but the melody
speaks loud than the lyrics.
