Love, Guilt, Grief, Remorse, Pain...

Feelings that, for me, are difficult to express, yet shared by so many people.

Within a frenzy of emotion and fervorent brush strokes I hope to convey a sense of raw, unspoken emotion. Feelings of anxienty, sadness, or ecstasy.I work in seclusion in order to completely envelope myself in the intensity of the emotion I hope to address
By using bold luscious colors from the vibrancy of nature and images with feverish passion, my work affronts the viewer with an immediate reaction.  I choose to work from the female form becuase it is captivating and mysterious. There is a certain curiousness in a woman's capability of sexual prowess, and the nude female figure screams for attention. Whether from the bashful, the ashamed, the curious, or the voyeuristic, everyone looks.

Within the canvas is a dyad between the vividness of color, the containment of the figure within it's own space.  "In your face" imagery with lifesize scale, produce an empathetic interaction between the work and the viewer.
