| Stand Clear is a five piece punk rock band from the Northern Beaches with an alternative edge. Stand Clear consists of: -Dylan - Electric Guitar -James - Electric Guitar -Dave - Bass Guitar -Chris - Vocals and Kazoo -Dave Muir - Drums and Percussion The modern day Stand Clear was developed early 2004, but the band has great historical reference. The roots of Stand Clear trace back to 2003 when the founders Dylan and Garrith released their first album entitled Restrickted Punk Area. James, who had always been close friends of the band, joined in early 2004. On the 29th of June Martin joined the band, followed by Chris from Manly High who joined on the 25th of November. Dave, fellow school mate and bass player joined Stand Clear on the 5th of February 2005, completing the first lineup. Garrith still remained friends of the band and often helped out at shows. After Stand Clear's success in the Northern Composure 2005 band comp, Martin left the band to concentrate on solo projects and his education yet still retains close ties with the band. His last efforts can be heard on Stand Clear's self-produced EP 8:08 (which can be downloaded from the media section). Dave Muir from Cromer High replaced Martins position behind the kit in mid 2005 and has since adapted the punk rock style of the band rather well. In October 2006, Stand Clear recording the first EP with Dave, regarded as the first release by the band, cos the other efforts were just crap. The six song EP was produced, mixed and recorded by Shane Peattie all at his house.
