Please note: Though many of us still refer to the coupe as "The Interceptor", some will say this is wrong..

In MadMax 1 the coupe was referred to as a "Pursuit Special" by the female voice on the Police radio.

In MadMax 2 the car is referred to as "The last of the V8 Interceptor's" by the mechanic in the compound.

The yellow XB sedan which Max drives at the start of MadMax 1 has "INTERCEPTOR" written on the bootlid.

No matter what its called, it is probably one of the most famous and popular movie car in the world.
