Here it is, the first journal entry of my website. I am excited. To give you a sense of my daily routine, this is what I do. I get up in the morning about 8 oclock and put on some clothes and drive to work. Before I break into my first cup of water or my Slimfast, I weigh myself on the office medical scale. While this isn't the best method, because the scale can fluxuate by as much as 2 or 3 pounds, depending on what I am wearing, it gives me a good estimate of the trend. I learned this the hard way by weighing myself on Monday to find that I had gained a couple pounds, then the next day when I wore different shoes, I had lost them! So on Mondays when I weigh in I am going to wear my heaviest shoes and the same work outfit.

I keep track of my weight online at the Slimfast site. I was somewhat upset that even though a person of my height can have a healthy BMI at 115 pounds, the Slimfast site won't allow me to set a goal for anything lower than 128. I have, however, made my own chart and I keep it in a binder with information I have on nutrition and calorie counts. I am only 4 pounds away from my half-way goal. See you next Monday!
