August 3, 1812, petition of Daniel Straight and Elizabeth, his wife, daughter of George Shingledecker, late of Bedford Co, deceased, setting forth that the said decedent, previous to the year l794, to wit, January 1788, died intestate seized of the following real estate, viz: a tract of land situate in Belfast Twp, Bedford Co containing 465 acres adjoining William Straight, Jacob McClean
and William Hammett; and that the decedent left a widow Hannah and seven children, viz; George, his eldest son; Jacob; Andrew; Mark; Elizabeth intermarried with Daniel Straight who are your petitioners; Mary intermarried with George Decker; and Abigail. Your petitioners pray the court to award an inquest to make partition of the above described real estate to and among the legal heirs if the same can be done without prejudice to or spoiling the whole and if not then to value sad appraise the same according to law.
August 3, 1812, petiton read and inquest awarded. Writ issued. Returnable 1st Monday of November 1812.
