Here's some pictures of my '86 Cougar right after I bought it in July of 1998. I was sixteen and I had my own ideas about what looked good. Pictures are below.

Note: If you stumbled onto this page from the internet, you would problably rather see these pictures....

Uhh... I really can't explain the 70's looking wheels and whitewalls. Nothing screams "Dead Broke" more than black painted factory rims and chrome lugnuts. I have nothing more to say about those wheels..... Also, you'll notice that the windows were all the way down and the quarter windows are tinted. Well, that is just static-cling Wal-Mart tint on the quarter windows and I didnt have enough to do the door glass, so I just put them down for the photo so it might look like they were also tinted, but you just wouldn't be able to tell from them being down. Did it fool you?
Nah, I didn't think so.....

Holy hell! Look at the shine on that hood! Looks like I waxed it with a Weed Whacker.... Well that's what 14 years of UV rays will do to factory paint. The roof and trunk were also in that condition and down to bare metal in some spots. Also, look carefully at the rear-view mirror and try to count the air fresheners hanging from it. Yeah you counted right, there were 16 air fresheners on that mirror, and I'm surprised it didnt break off the windshield from the weight. It wasn't a stinky car, I just did some strange things to my first car.

Ahhhh, the ass end. Check out the enormous exhaust tip hanging below the bumper cover. I think that was intended for 3" pipes but I just wanted the size of it to look cool. And no, I wasn't trying to be a "ricer" with the coffee can exhaust tip, this was before those people migrated to my area. Notice the temporary plates. I had only owned it for a few weeks and back then, I thought it looked cool this way. Now that I look at it in these pictures, it's a wonder that I was never beaten up for driving such a disaster.

This is how is looked one year later. I had spray-painted most of the bad areas, added the brand-new Cragars with General XP2000's, window tint, CB antenna, and a few other things.

Well, that's what it used to look like and over the next two years, I spent every paycheck on it and made it almost perfect. Sadly, I wrecked and sold the 86, but bought a replacement I've always wanted - A 1988 Cougar XR7. All the info and pictures and both cars is on the main page.
