| Hi! All of my news from past weeks has been moved to a new page of its own, which can be accessed from a link at the bottom of the page. This is to keep you up to date with all the goings on in my "Career", while giving you the opportunity to follow what I've done since the lauch of this site! | |||||||||||
| *28th February 2002. Well, finally, I have managed to pin down one of the Bookers I needed to speak to, and have been booked to play at The Mash Tun, right here in Winchester, on Tuesday the 7th of May. This is the venue I've most wanted to get into since starting out on the live music circuit in Winchester, and should be a pretty big deal, with The Mash being one of the most popular, busiest, coolest pubs in the City! Still trying to get into the other venue...I will get hold of their booker soon, oh yes, I will get hold of their booker soon! Also, i have just recorded the follow up to my acclaimed "The 4-Track E.P", which is as-yet-untitled recording, but which features a newer version of "Tinseltown", "Two For Tea" (Which is rapidly becoming one of my live favourites!), "Anonymous" (Which went down a storm when it made its live debut at Roots Night at Winchester's The Railway Inn on Monday night), and "Glamourpuss". At the moment I am having technical problems with the mixing of the tracks (Basically, I can't!), but I am trying to sort these out, and hope to have it all good very soon! And finally, I have been given permission to perform a cover version of "Strangers In The Back Of your Car", by unsigned genius's D:Vice. I'm very excited about that! Ok, thats pretty much it for today, but I will be back very soon, with new songs, hopefully more audio tracks, and some new artwork; for my new recordings and my Mash Tun gig! See you all soon my pretties! |

| *19th February 2002. Not much news this month, sorry. Still attempting to negotiate a couple of dates around the Winchester area, but keep missing the people I need to speak to! Sod's law, but I will persevere. Also, this coming weekend I am doing some serious recording to get some of my newer songs down, along with my new version of "Tinseltown"! I'll be back sooner than I was this time, hopefully with more news too!!!See you all soon, take care. | |||||||||||
| *18th January 2002. The main news I have for you this week is, unfortunately sad news (with a kind of happy outcome), that really isn't that much to do with me at all! I am sad to announce the demise of one of the most promising rock bands around, the Heepadermic Noodles. Following the departure of keyboard player Paul Myers to concentrate on his acting career, the group have decided to take a slightly different direction, with a couple of line-up changes and a new name, The Keepers. Therefore, the link to the Noodles' unborn site will soon be removed. In latest news that does have things to do with me, I have just rejoined the local music scene earlier than planned, and have been getting back in the swing of performing by doing several slots at a few open mic nights, with my mini-sets gaining a very favourable reaction. Roll on my gig on the 29th!Also, in an exciting development to my path, I have formed a band with several fellow King Alfred's College students here in Winchester. Calling ourselves His Name Is Mickey, we have started writing new material together and hope to build up a solid list of songs, which we will hopefully get to perform over the coming months...as for how this affects my solo work: it doesn't! I will still be doing solo-acoustic shows, and will keep the majority of my songs seperate to those I create with His Name Is Mickey, and will also keep writing specifically for my solo career.Thats pretty much it for this week, see you again shortly... |
