| Right here, you can keep up-to-date with all the goings on with my music "career", with details of gig dates, recordings, and any other stuff along those lines. I'll try to keep it as regular as possible! | ||||||||||||
| *7th January 2002 Over Christmas I finally mixed down the tracks on my most recent 4-track recordings, which I recorded over the summer, and am currently using these to negotiate gigs, and as promotional material. I have also begun to heavily promote my up-coming gig at The Albion on the 29th of January, with the aim to attract a large crowd to start some serious word of mouth type stuff around the city. I am also working out my set, which should include many never-heard songs, and should be a little different to the last one! Wish me luck, and I'll see you all again soon, Ian. |

| *11th December 2001 Fresh from my triumphant solo show at Winchester's The Albion, I am currently in negotiations with two other venues within the city of Winchester, which, due to how close it is to Christmas, will most likely be slightly into the new year. As well as these, I have been invited back to play The Albion again, once more in the new year. Since I now have transport, I am also about to start looking into getting gigs in places in Southampton, Portsmouth, and other places around the south, possibly even around the London and Kent area. Speaking of performing in Kent, this past weekend, I returned to my home in Swanley, Kent, to perform at a charity event with my occasional band Del Preston's Old Lady, along with a couple of guests helping out on various instruments. It went well, and I believe we helped to raise a pretty respectable amount for the Lion's Hospice. On the writing front, I am having a bit of a creative drive, trying to bulk up my list of songs, so that my gigs will feature a lot more variety, which will be a very good thing when I (hopefully) start to get more regular live dates. 4 of the songs written recently have been added to this site, and there will be several more added soon, especially when I break up for Christmas, and have even more time to sit and slack by making up songs! I am expecting soon to have a (decent) mixed copy of some four-track recordings I made towards the end of the summer, and when I do have these, I am going to attempt to get them put onto C.D, so that I can somehow get them transferred onto this site, so they can be listened to, rather than just having the lyrics to be looked at. Thats pretty much all the news I have right now, but as I said, I'll keep you posted with all new developments. See you soon, Ian. |
