| I had a girly doctor's appointment this morning. Oh, fun! Heh . . . hear the sarcasm? After my doctor's appointment, I took my kitty (Kit) to the vet. He needed his annual shots. I made it to work at 12:30 pm. Turtle had already left for her business trip. Kathy was there. It was torturous. Just me and Kathy and no work to do since it's been so quiet. Well, I do have the project for WW to do, but I can't do it while Kathy is around because she is too distracting. It is so very frustrating to sit here, at my useless and boring job, and not be able to do my useless and boring job because other people (translation: Kathy), none of whom are in my building so's I can punch them in the throat and giggle while they drown in their own blood, fail to do their useless and boring jobs because, evidently, they have their heads so far up their asses that if they take a deep breath their ears'll pop. Which just gave me a visual image that's a cross between M. C. Escher, H. R. Giger and David Cronenberg. But anyway... |

| Kathy basically spent from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (when she left) telling me about every phone call she ever had while I was out sick. She was making up for the fact that I wasn't there to hear about them when she got off the phone. I still feel like shit and I have to hear her prattle on about nothing! Is this hell? At least I wasn't stuck with her for the full day, although I might as well have been. Every call I received that afternoon was someone Kathy had talked to and had pissed off. I spent a half hour on the phone with this one guy who was very upset and I managed to convince him to not only stay with the company but also to apologize for his attitude. He was really sweet and because Kathy had managed to fuck him over, he was furious. But, not any more. I am so sick of this cleanup duty that some days I just want to quit. |
